UCIPT Mobility offers participants the opportunity to engage in research initiatives conducted by the University of California Institute of Prediction Technology, with compensation provided for their involvement. These studies welcome anyone willing to contribute their data to advance scientific understanding.

A key feature of this application is its ability to gather location data from users for research purposes, both when the app is active and operating in the background. Importantly, the collected data will be anonymized to ensure that it cannot be linked back to any individual user, addressing privacy concerns effectively.

The mobility trajectories obtained will serve as a foundation for running various models focused on behavior prediction within the target demographic. Additionally, users' email addresses will be collected solely for the purpose of communicating with participants and arranging compensation for their involvement in the study.
